Rotaract is Rotary International’s programme for people aged 18 and over. Our club is part of Rotaract District 3220, covering Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
Kandy Metropolitan focuses on creating meaningful and sustainable community impact through initiatives addressing education, health, social welfare, environmental needs and support for underserved communities. The club also collaborates with other Rotaract and Rotary clubs, schools, organisations and community partners to expand the reach and impact of its service initiatives.
The Professional Development Avenue focuses on equipping members and young people with practical skills, leadership capabilities and career-related knowledge. Through workshops, mentoring, networking sessions, leadership programmes and opportunities to engage with experienced professionals, the club supports both personal and professional growth.
Club Service focuses on strengthening fellowship, member engagement and the effective functioning of the club. Kandy Metropolitan places emphasis on creating an inclusive and connected membership through general meetings, fellowship activities, member engagement initiatives, leadership opportunities and internal coordination.
Kandy Metropolitan approaches International Service through collaboration and cultural exchange with Rotaract clubs and youth organisations beyond Sri Lanka. The club conducts joint projects, virtual exchanges, international fellowships and cross-cultural initiatives that promote international understanding while creating opportunities for members to build meaningful global connections.
Sports tournaments and recreational activities that promote healthy lifestyles, teamwork, sportsmanship and fellowship, including NetClash, the club's province-wide netball tournament.
