Project Yalපාணம் was a recreational initiative organized in order to help our club members break out of the monotonous lifestyle and go out on a relaxing club outing. Reason for selecting Jaffna as our destination was as many of our members have not been there & this would be a new experience for them.The project consisted of a Jaffna City tour where we covered Jaffna Fort, Keerimalai Pond, Nallur Kovil, Point Pedro & gave our members an interesting peek into Jaffna were our members proposed to do part of the tour on Foot Cycle & the members were so intrigued that they wanted a boat tour of delft island the following day!!
The city tour was followed by an extremely Delicious Pit Stop at Rio Ice Cream as per the majority request and the project also consisted of a Friendly Cricket Match organized by the Officers at the Copai Army Camp.
Project Yalපාணம் was topped off by mixing a bit of work & pleasure though an eye clinic where 105 Pairs ofspectacled were donated by the club & the clinic was held in collaboration with the Copai Divisional Army camp, Divisional Hospital & Wickramaarachchi Opticians who were readily available to check the eyes of the participants & provide any needed medical assistance.
